SEDA 's: Introduction to Community Economic Development for Western Canadian Provinces

Now Available: Our Online Program delivery!

Each year we strive to enhance the programs and services offered to our members. SEDA's mandate is to assist in building economic and community capacity in Saskatchewan. Online Education is one way we can achieve this. This program is an interactive learning experience for our Introductory Community Economic Development (CED) Modules.

SEDA’s Introduction to Economic Development for Western Canadian Communities was developed to provide training in core economic development principles and practices for new entrants into the profession as well as community leaders. This four module program will provide an understanding of:

  • economic development principlesand theories;
  • applying economic development principles and theories to case studies and local situations
  • concerns and problems common to economic development in Western Canada;
  • appropriate support systems for those practicing economic development;
  • optimal skills for those practicing economic development.

This course provides the basic parameters for improving the abilities of economic developers to facilitate community-based economic development in Saskatchewan.

* If you have previously taken Modules or  MLDP, Registration allows you to be selective.

*Each module registered for will remain open for a 3 week period of time. Please contact the SEDA office if additional time is needed.
