Capacity

Economic development is driven by people and their respective communities and regions.  It uses the talents and skills  provided by stakeholders and organizations.  This refers to the 'capacity' of a region to mobilize.

Mobilization may mean retaining the local school or health care facility ....or ensuring regional employers have the labour they require to grow and expand.  Supports for how to mobilize can be found under the section Leading.

This topic area of Grow Our Region is  seeded with resources to support the core community sectors such as education and infrastructure.   Extensive information on asset mapping as a core concept to identify capacity has been included here.

Exploring potential partners and linkages locally and regionally is key to capacity building. We look forward to making this happen via Grow Our Region as we conclude  the provinical mapping of non-profit organizations across the province.
