Core Competencies

Building competencies and encouraging professional excellence in communities and economic development organizations will assist the regions in building capacity and achieving their objectives in an effective fashion.

Tools for Prosperity

The Saskatchewan Economic Development Association provides an accredited program  Platform for Prosperity that assists communities and organizations in building sustainable capacity for economic development.

Saskatchewan's economy is strong and municipalities across the province are finding themselves tackling new development prospects and increased economic development activity.
Start building community and economic capacity today. Learn more about our program and the benefits of SEDA membership. Contact us today!

Platform for Prosperity in the new Accredited Economic Development Organization Program  designed to support capacity enhancement. It provides linkages to tools and best practices to achieve competencies in four key areas:

Level I – Technical Level: defined by criteria focused on solid foundational elements;

Level II – Performance Level: defines strategies that give the organization direction;

Level III – Achievement Level:  focuses on the achievements of the organization to date;

Level IV – Peer Review Level: the site team visit is designed to assess the organization in action.

Managed by the Saskatchewan Economic Development Association (SEDA), communities and organizations may apply and receive accreditation at each of four levels.

The online resources and tools provided by Grow Our Region support the competencies at each level.

There is no cost to participate in this program, however communities and organizations must be SEDA members to receive accreditation. Level IV - Peer Review – does require communties and organizations to assist with travel costs associated with the site visit. This will be determined on a case by case basis.

Contact the SEDA office at 1-877-SEDA  for more information.
